Before the Coffee Gets Cold | Kawaguchi Toshikazu

Before I start, I read a bit of The Silent Patient but I could not get into it.  I am put it down to read at a later time.

I am moving on to Before the Coffee Gets Cold.  I have to be honest here and confess that the only reason I even got this book was because it is from a Japanese author.  If you've seen my 2 Asian related blogs, you'll know I absolutely love the Japanese culture.  I was into the dramas and movies since the early 90s when I stumbled upon a J-drama by chance.  I had never heard of this book or this author and I spotted it on a trip to Barnes & Noble one day.

Short summary from panmacmillan.com.

In an unassuming cafe, there is an urban legend which the strong-willed yet heartbroken Fumiko wants to uncover.  Just a week before, in the very same cafe, her boyfriend broke up with her.  What if she could return to that moment and handle the conversation differently?  She fervently and doggedly sets out to discover how to travel back to the past.  Fumiko takes us on her own journey, and along he way we meet the other proprietors of the cafe, who share three more heartbreaking yet lifer-affirming journeys, they take to relive the past.

It shouldn't take me too long to read this one.  It's 298 pages long. I bought the B&N special edition that has extra content.  Not sure what kind of content it is but once I am done, I'll see if I can figure it out!
